Purchasing Division

The Purchasing Division provides the logistical support to management and all city departments. Formerly called the Central Services Division the Purchasing Division maintains a central store inventory of the most frequently used supplies and materials; thereby, ensuring that the City’s acquisition of supplies, materials and equipment is the most cost effective and efficient as possible.

Following statutory guidelines the Purchasing Division, with the assistance of the user department, is responsible for preparing specifications for equipment and material requirements of the City. It handles the disposition of surplus property through trade-ins and public sales.
