Parkview Activity Center

Parkview Activity Center is the last of the three manned facilities in the Recreation Department. The Center is located at 204 Inman Street in South Lumberton. Operating hours do vary by season, but the facility is generally open until 9:00 p.m.

Most programs offered at the Center are geared towards youth. The Center offers sports, computer classes, piano lessons, senior citizen activities, and special events throughout the year.

The facility offers a playground, gym, pool tables, ping-pong tables, a weight room and activity rooms. The Center's staff Trey Brown, Brenda McDowell, Adrienne Pelham, and Lori Washington schedules several events, programs, and special functions weekly that are available to residents at no cost.

Southeast Lumberton Weed and Seed Safe Haven is also located in the Parkview Activity Center. The Safe Haven provides music lessons, computer classes, arts and crafts, and other enrichment activities to South/East Lumberton residents as part of a Weed and Seed grant the City received from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Program's Executive Office of Weed and Seed.
